He was born in Ogden, April 7, 1914. He was a graduate of Ogden high school. Prior to his enlistment he was employed at an Ogden cafe and at Ogden arsenal. He enlisted in the Army in March, 1941, and in June of 1944 he was in North Africa. LeRoy served in the 363rd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 28, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla, Italy and is now buried in the Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
