David Leonard Sansing, aged 22, was born on May 3, 1922 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas. He was the son of Robert Lee Sansing and Nettie J. Sansing. He entered the military service in May, 1944 and received his basic training at Camp Hood, Texas, and left for overseas duty. David served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on April 18, 1945 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla, Italy and is now buried in the Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
