Charles L. Reece, Jr., aged 27, was born on October 5, 1917 in Blairsville, Union County, Georgia. He was the son of Charles Logan Reece and Louise Jane Davis Reece. He served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Sergeant during World War II. Reece, Jr. died on April 26, 1945 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla, Italy and is now buried in the Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy. He also has a cenotaph located in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia, USA.
