Eugene Brown "Gene" Neal, aged 19, was born on May 22, 1925. He was the son of Ernest Mace Neal and Hazel Beatrice Biddle Neal. He served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. Eugene was Killed in Action on October 17, 1944 in south of Rome, Italy and is now buried in the Fort Scott National Cemetery, Fort Scott, Bourbon County, Kansas, USA.
