Edward F. Metzger, aged 19, was born on January 18, 1925. He was the son of Henry Jacob Metzger and Bertha Beeman Metzger. Edward served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on October 12, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla in Italy and is now buried in the Saint Nicholas Cemetery, Shavertown, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, USA.
