George M. Lukowitz, aged 22, was born on September 10, 1922. He was graduated from St. Casimir's parochial school and the vocational school. He worked at the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Co. as a machine operator before he entered the service in October, 1942. He went overseas in 1944 and served in North Africa before he entered the Italian campaign. George served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 8, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla in Italy and is now buried in the Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA.
