Boyd Rayford Kimrey, aged 24, was born on July 14, 1920 in Randolph County, North Carolina. He was the son of James Alfred Kimrey and Annie Kirkman Kimrey. Boyd served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He died on September 17, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla, Italy and is now buried in the Whites Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Liberty, Randolph County, North Carolina, USA.
