Ottis Dewery Hughes, aged 21, was born on August 3, 1922 in Idaho. He was the son of Elza Dewey Hughes and Goldie Davora Tomblinson Crawford. He served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. Ottis died on July 9, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla in Italy and is now buried in the Little Butte Cemetery, Annis, Jefferson County, Idaho, USA.
