Frey D. “Bud” Egert, aged 19, was born on July 29, 1925. He was the son of George S. Egert and Kathryn Fremion Egert. Frey served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on October 19, 1944 in the battle around the area of Ponzalla in Italy and is now buried in the Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
