William Eberle, Jr., aged 28, was born on February 10, 1916. He was the son of William Eberle and Pearl A. Gregory Eberle. William served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He died on July 12, 1944 in the battle around the area of Ponzalla in Italy and is now buried in the Arborville Rural Cemetery, Arborville, York County, Nebraska, USA.
