Charles C. Curto was born in 1919 in Connecticut. He resided in Fairfield County, Connecticut prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army on August 8, 1941, prior to the war, in Hartford, Connecticut. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a oiler of machinery and also as Single, without dependents. Charles served as a Private First Class, 363rd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 10, 1944 in the battle around the area of Ponzalla in Italy and is now buried in the Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
