When Kenneth S. Wells was born on April 24, 1899, in Wisconsin, his father, Joseph, was 22 and his mother, Anna, was 21. He had two brothers and one sister. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company C, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle in 1918 in France and is now buried in Orfordville Lutheran Cemetery, Orfordville, Rock County, Wisconsin, USA.
