Details:
Manmade clearing at the base of a hill with green benches and stone steps. Monument
English script dedicates A Company 12th Regiment 4th Infantry Division and 159th Combat Engineering Battalion 10th Regiment 5th Infantry Division. American troops prevented the German capture of the main road from Echternach to Luxembourg. Uphill of the monument lays the remains of the original "foxholes" made by American soldiers.
