Monument
A roughly carved stone vertical stone slab set on a rectangular stone base bearing gold lettering commemorating American aviators.

The memorial remembers B-17 (42-37770) " Flak Rat" of the  614th Bomber Squadron, 401st Bomber Group and B-17 (42-2992) " Oklahoma Okie" of the 324th Bomber Squadron, 91st Bomber Group both fell on December 31st 1943, over the towns of Arjuzanx and Lesperon, respectively. 

The memory 2LT Lee Allen the pilot of  B-24 (42-7577) "Buzz Buggy" of the 704th Bomb Squadron, 446th Bomber Group whose body washed up from the Atlantic onto the beaches of Mimizan, is also remembered on this monument.
