Voie de la Liberté Borne
Details:
The borne is located on the north side of the island, facing north. It is visible from the main entrance of the mairie when facing south. Marker The memorial is a borne taken from the Voie de la Liberté (Liberty Road), a series of identical markers which commemorate the 1,146 km route taken by Allied forces during WWII from Utah Beach in France to Bastogne, Belgium.
