Details:

Within the museum, various exhibits trace the history of the town from 1853 to 1950. The themes that are highlighted are the discovery of New Caledonia, colonization, migration, industry and mining, and World War II. American military artifacts such as weapons and uniforms are on display throughout the museum. Museum The museum holds an array of military memorabilia, visual materials, and documentation related to the American presence on the island during WWII. All display information is made available in French, most in English, and some in Japanese.
