Deneen Marker - 11th Infantry Regiment

Details:

In a small recreation area on the Moselle River off of the D657.  About a kilometer north of Corny-sur-Moselle.  Immediately on the eastern side of the river.  Near a stone marker for the crossing of the Moselle River by the US 5th Infantry Division.   Marker


A small metal sign that marks the place where PFC Deneen of the 11th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division fell in the "Horseshoe Woods during the Dornot Bridgehead Operation. He was initially listed as MIA and his name inscribed on the Wall of Missing at the Lorraine American Cemetery in Saint-Avold, France; he is now buried in his hometown in Wisconsin.
