Located on Mardasson Hill just north-east of the American WWII Mardasson memorial  Monument This is a statue of a large eagle mounted on a rock base affixed with a black plaque. To the right of the monument is a silver plaque naming the units honored by this statue. 

Monument Text:

May this eagle always symbolize the sacrifices and heroism

 

of the 101st Airborne Division and all its attached units.
