Floyd Dade passed away on September 27, 2006, at the age of 82.
There was no single hero in the 761st Tank Battalion; we were like a football team where everyone had a position, and everyone had to play their position to the best of their ability. We all knew each others position inside the tank, so if someone was wounded or killed, we knew what to do to carry out our mission.
